Everything that shines online......really doesn't! The skirt in the picture is hot! It looks Like leather or python! The skirt I received is neither. It looks like lace !!! Out of my box! Don't let the picture online fool you. I tend to be a classic dresser and don't usually look twice at this kind of piece, but I saw it on display in the store and liked it enough to try it on. I am so glad that I did! It is a nice black skirt and the python pattern overlay is not noticeable enough that it makes it look like the picture at all. It is not shiny, it is matte and the lace pattern overlay is classy looking, not trendy. I can wear it as I would a regular black pencil skirt , but it just has a little more texture to make it more interesting. It will be appropriate in a professional setting. Also, the stretch makes it more comfortable. I found that it fit true to size. My only concern is pulling the overlay (as another reviewer pointed out) so I plan to treat it carefully. But I think it will be a great piece that I can wear for a long time. September 3, 2012
